As an individual business owner you have options for health & dental expense reimbursement. The first, and perhaps most obvious choice, would be an “individual” policy contract that can include coverage for yourself and your family.
An alternative that provides a fixed cost and complete plan flexibility, would be to set up a Health Care Spending Account. This plan allows you to deposit funds into an “account” that you are able to draw from as needed for health and/or dental expenses. The deposits are tax deductible for the business and tax free to the recipient.
And, as an individual, you should also consider life and disability insurance that is commonly found included in employee benefit programs.
